stone blocks dislodged by the roofs of long decayed tress.

Around 400 south
of Angkor Thom, is a Hindu temple in the form of Temple Mountain.
Dedicate to Sheva, it was built at the end of the 9th century, during
the reign of king Yasovarman I (889-910 AD). Phnom Bakheng is nowadays a
popular tourist spot for sunset view of much bigger temple Angkor Wat,
which lies amid the jungle about 1.5km to the southeast.
